IS A FACE
LIFT RIGHT FOR ME?
Facelifts
are most commonly performed on patients in the 40-60 year
age range. However the procedure can produce very good
results in individuals in their 60's-70's and 80's as
well. Everyone ages differently.
You may
be a good candidate for a facelift if you have any of the following
types of conditions:
- Deep
lines that run from the corner of your nose to the
corner of your mouth.
- Loss
of a well defined jawline.
- Deep
wrinkles in the cheeks and sagging skin near the
cheekbones.
- Loose
skin, wrinkles or excess fatty tissue in the neck.
Dr.
Peterson may explain additional procedures that can be
performed along with a facelift to help you achieve your
goal of total facial rejuvenation. A facelift is frequently
combined with:
- A forehead
or browlift to correct lines and furrows in the
brow.
- Eyelid
surgery to eliminate drooping upper eyelids or
bags beneath the eyes.
- Reshaping
the nose the one you "inherited" or one misshaped
in the "sporting accident" and never quite
got around to getting fixed.
- Skin
treatments such as laser
resurfacing or glycolic treatments before and
after your surgery to help keep your skin looking and feeling
great!
